Find your code
Find the instructional setting code in the placement or least-restrictive-environment part of the IEP. Speech therapy only is code 00. Most children taught in regular classes with support are code 40.
Why the districts differ
The state formula pays small districts more per student, which is why La Villa ISD, Monte Alto ISD and San Isidro ISD come out thousands of dollars above McAllen ISD for the same IEP code.
Only at a participating school
Only enrollment at a participating school or an approved pre-K/kindergarten provider unlocks the extra IEP money. Homeschool accounts stay at $2,000 regardless.
